Site work for this project began in March 2026, and the project is located at the intersection of 5th Street and Chehalem Street in Newberg. There will be two homes in a stacked flat configuration. Four bedrooms and two bathrooms per home. The homes are expected to be completed in January 2027 and sold shortly thereafter.
Major funding provided by Oregon Housing and Community Services’ Local Innovation and Fast Track (LIFT) program and City of Newberg’s Construction Excise Tax (CET) Fund Grant.
This project will be located in the 700 block of College Street, behind Phase I.
A detached fourplex (four homes in a single-family style on one lot) is planned. Predevelopment began in Summer 2026. Site work is expected to begin in Spring 2027.

Dundee Commons is an innovative co-location building project in Dundee. Newberg Area Habitat for Humanity offers its extensive experience in assisting income-qualified families in constructing and owning safe, affordable housing. Head Start of Yamhill County provides comprehensive early learning programs designed to benefit children and their income-qualified families. Newberg First United Methodist Church sold the land for the project to Habitat in December 2025.
Together, these organizations will develop a three-story building in downtown Dundee, which will feature two Head Start classrooms capable of supporting up to 50 children through free preschool and family services. The project will also include seven homes, built by Newberg Area Habitat for Humanity, which will be sold to families partnering with Habitat.
