How Community Members Can Help Habitat for Humanity
Not just construction—it’s about community transformation.
While we build and repair homes with local families, we are creating community. Our volunteers often cite working next to the homebuyers as one of their favorite parts of serving with our Habitat affiliate. This creates an unmatched joy which becomes contagious and is commonly why so many of our volunteers come back to the build site and ReStore weekly or multiple times per week. It is also why so many attend Habitat home dedications, which are the ceremonies where we give keys to the new homeowners, celebrate everyone’s hard work, and the families enter their new path of homeownership.

Additionally, advocating for affordable housing plays a crucial role in supporting Habitat for Humanity’s mission.
